History as an Artist -
Ginny Jacobs was born in Portland, Oregon, and has lived in South Tillamook County for over 40 years, making her a pioneer of Tillamook County.
Ginny’s art work includes commissions of people’s houses, fish, and yards. Many of the houses in her neighborhood were constructed
in the early 1900’s, and reflect that rustic coastal flavor yet today. Living in a predominantly fishing community, Ginny has
painted life-size Salmon in the past, and has created other fish paintings in the pastel medium. She is known for her Salmon
paintings, which she specialized in for about five years. One can see her Salmon flair in the paintings displayed on her website as
well. Popular prints to locals are the holiday Salmon card prints.
