Ginny has been painting nearly all her life, but her current specialty painting studio, “Art by the Yard,” was born in the past three years. She became inspired for her current theme of work by walking around the historical neighborhood in Pacific City, Oregon, andseeing beautiful lights and shadows on the old porches, and trails of light on flowers. “There can be art in anyone’s yard!” sheexclaims. “My focus is to capturelight and shadow, find the simple things in life which make me and people feel good when looking
at my art work.”
Ginny's work is different because she has taken the simple things in life and focused on the brilliance of color in contrast to the muted shadows, to show light.
